Applying for jobs on Jooble is straightforward. Depending on the vacancy type, you can submit a direct application with your resume, contact the employer by phone, or be redirected to a partner website. This guide walks you through each option and helps you resolve common application issues.

Ways to Apply for a Job on Jooble

Apply via Jooble with Your Resume

For vacancies hosted directly on Jooble, click the Apply button on the job listing. The application process includes:

  1. Logging in or registering your account.
  2. Creating or uploading your resume — you can build one using Jooble's free resume builder or upload an existing file.
  3. Answering any additional questions the employer may have added.
  4. Giving consent to comply with GDPR requirements.
  5. Submitting your application.

Once submitted, your application and resume are sent directly to the employer.

Direct Application by Phone

Some vacancies are marked with a Check phone number option. For these jobs, click the Check phone button and contact the employer directly by phone — no resume submission required.

Apply via a Partner Website

For partner vacancies, clicking the Apply button will redirect you to the third-party website where the job was originally posted. The application process is handled entirely by that external site. Jooble does not control or receive data from applications submitted on partner websites.

Tips for a Successful Application

  • Make sure your resume is complete and up to date before applying. Incomplete profiles are a common reason applications are not processed correctly.
  • Use specific job titles and relevant keywords in your resume to match what employers are searching for.
  • Apply as soon as you find a relevant vacancy — older postings may already be filled.
  • Check your email after applying, including your spam folder, for confirmation or follow-up messages.

Common Application Issues

Error message when applying

If you see an error when trying to apply, the most common causes are:

  • Incomplete profile or resume — check that all required fields are filled in, including contact details and work experience.
  • Outdated vacancy link — the job may have been closed or removed by the employer. Try searching for similar vacancies.
  • Partner website redirect issues — if you are redirected to a third-party site and encounter an error there, the issue is on the partner's side. Try opening the link in a different browser or incognito mode.
  • Access blocked — some employer websites restrict access based on region or device. Try a different browser, incognito mode, or clear your browser's cookies and cache.

Email about an incomplete application

If you receive an email saying your application is incomplete, it usually means you started but did not finish the submission process. To continue, click the Submit apply link in that email. Note: this email can arrive even after you have already successfully submitted your application — due to a delay in the database update. In that case you can safely ignore it.

If the issue persists, return to your profile, complete any missing information, and resubmit your application.

How to check your job application status

You can track your submitted applications in your Jooble account under My Applications. Note that for partner vacancies, application status tracking is not available on Jooble — you will need to check directly with the employer or on their website.

No response from the employer

If you have applied but haven't heard back, this is normal — employers receive many applications and response times vary. For tips on what to do next, see our article I have applied for a job but have not received a reply.
